PRESS RELEASE: Glendale Dental Centre is Proud to Sponsor the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games – a Celebration of Youth, Sport, Culture and Community.
PRESS RELEASE, JULY-29-2022
After over 35 years of being strongly driven by community-centric values, it’s only natural for the group of dental care professionals at Glendale Dental Centre to feel enthusiastic about sponsoring the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games this month.
“Over the past several decades, our team at Glendale Dental Centre have served the Niagara region with a sense of community and family values, which will always guide our philosophy of care,” says Dr. Michael Diston, owner of Glendale Dental Centre. “When we had an opportunity to sponsor the Niagara 2022 Summer Games, we jumped at the chance, because it felt like a perfect fit.”
The Niagara 2022 Summer Games is a bi-annual national event, celebrating “youth, sport, culture and community.”
“Held every two years, alternating between winter and summer, the Canada Games are the country’s marquee event for amateur sport representing the highest level of national competition for thousands of up-and-coming Canadian athletes. As the best in their age group, these young competitors come to the Games having trained long and hard to be among those chosen to represent their respective province or territory.
From August 6 to 21, the Niagara Region will welcome more than 5,000 participants (including athletes, coaches and support staff) to compete in the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games. The competition will feature 18 different sports… [and the] 28th edition of the Canada Games will also mark the third time in history the event has taken place in the province of Ontario and the first time in 21 years.”

In addition to their sponsorship, Glendale Dental Centre has taken on the role of managing the dental health care of the thousands of athletes who will be participating in the event. They have stepped up to provide on-call services for emergency dental treatment should an injury, accident or trauma to the face and/or mouth of one of the athletes occur during the Games.
“As a team, we are passionate about people, and sports in general,” says Dr. Diston, “We’re eager to support this exciting event, while taking care of the participants’ emergency dental needs and expanding our reach to the greater community.”
